Ever heard the philosopher say - if you walk long enough in the same direction you'll eventually end up where you started? The arduous trip might take you over a variety of terrains and landscapes, but it will all start looking familiar again.
Ever heard the scientist say - if you could concentrate a burst of energy that’s strong enough, you could actually warp the space-time continuum? Like bending a flat piece of paper so that the two surfaces meet to "worm" back in time.
Ever heard a wise man say - if you wish hard enough you can influence destiny and make the impossible happen? The ubiquitous power of the mind and the desire of the heart can make any dream a reality.
All of us, each to a different degree, are drawn to our past. Memories float like clouds on the canvas of our imagination. When I was a child my crutch though life were my fantasies. In their comforting wrap, life was exactly how I wanted it to be - perfect. Wanting to make that illusion last, I would steal every opportunity to stir my fantasies with reality so that I could glide from one solace to the other. That’s what made my childhood so memorable. Family, friends, teachers, toys, school and everything else in between that constituted my life in Bahrain. It was the product of poetic splendour and blissful existence at its supreme best.
Often, I wonder why those golden days are so fresh in my memory, but yet I don't remember where I left my car keys yesterday. Have I reached a point where I've walked far enough, pent up enough energy or wished hard enough that the past is once again right before me? Have the theories of the philosopher, the scientist and the wise man put into motion the déjà vu of time?
We have all journeyed far on the road of life but yet here we are...again. All roads lead back to the beginning and the causal looping nature of time is inescapable. But most of all, nothing can keep apart the gravity of souls drawn together through the eternity of space and time.
Thank You All for being part of this magical adventure that once was and is now about to be all over again.
